1. applicability

These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter "GTC") govern the contractual relationship between the General Anthroposophical Society as organiser (hereinafter "AAG") and the event participants (hereinafter "participants"). Events within the meaning of these GTC are all events (co-)organised by the AAG, in particular those listed in the AAG calendar of events and those advertised by the AAG.

The GTC become part of the contractual relationship between the AAG and the participant at the latest when the contract is concluded. 2.

2 Event offer, prices and price changes

The range of events and the prices are shown in the calendar of events on the AAG website (https://goetheanum.ch), in the event flyers or in invitation letters. In the event of contradictory price information, the information in the calendar of events shall apply. The AAG expressly reserves the right to make subsequent price changes. A right of withdrawal cannot be derived from this.

All prices are inclusive of VAT. They may consist of a share for catering/accommodation and a share for the actual event as well as other costs. Any shipping or administration costs are not included and the AAG reserves the right to charge these additionally.

In principle, the regular price applies to all participants. Discounts will only be granted if explicitly stated. Entitlement to a reduction also requires that a corresponding receipt is submitted with the registration.

Usually, three prices are indicated for each event. The first indicates the regular price, the second the reduced price for students, schoolchildren, pensioners/seniors, unemployed persons, trainees, persons doing military/civilian service, persons with disabilities (IV pension) and the third price is for children and young people up to 16 years of age. Depending on the event, special prices may also be granted for certain groups of persons (such as members or employees of the AAG).

3 Registration and conclusion of contract

Registration takes place by placing an order at https://tickets.goetheanum.ch. Other forms of registration are possible

The information on https://www.goetheanum.ch, the event flyers and the invitation letters do not constitute offers within the meaning of the Swiss Code of Obligations. They are merely invitations to make an offer. The contract shall only be concluded upon express acceptance of the participant's offer (registration) by the AAG. To this end, the AAG sends a confirmation of acceptance to the e-mail address given when the order is placed, or informs the participant verbally.

4. terms of payment and dispatch

Payments must be made within 14 days of the order. If no payment has been received 14 days after the order, the order will expire and the contents of the order will go back on sale.

Participants have the option of paying using the payment methods offered online. Other payment methods are not possible. The invoice amount must be paid in advance of the event.

In addition to cash (CHF and EUR), the AAG accepts VISA, Mastercard, Maestro and Postcard Switzerland at the Goetheanum reception.

If tickets, conference or parking cards are issued, they can usually be downloaded in PDF format.

For conferences, the downloaded ticket can be used to collect the conference ticket from reception.

5. loss of or damage to tickets, conference or parking cards

Participants are responsible for the safekeeping of tickets, conference or parking cards from the time they are handed over and bear all risks and dangers associated with loss or damage. Replacement of damaged or lost tickets, conference or parking cards is excluded.

If, in exceptional cases, tickets, conference or parking cards are sent, the participants shall bear the risks and dangers from the time they are handed over for dispatch. 6.

6 Cancellation of orders

Cancellation of individual tickets is not possible. Sold single tickets will not be taken back.

Cancellation of conference tickets is possible free of charge up to 14 days before the start of the conference. After this date, 50 % of the invoice amount will be charged. In the event of a no-show or cancellation on the day of the start of the event, the full invoice amount is owed. Any transaction fees incurred may be retained.

To be effective, cancellations must be made in person or in writing via email to tickets@goethenaum.ch. It is possible to have a substitute participant take the place at the event (subject to clause 9). In this case, no additional fees will be charged.

7 Implementation of the events

For organisational reasons, the right is reserved to make changes to the programme, such as changes to the main topic and/or the speakers, postponements, mergers and divisions. Participants will be informed in good time.

If an event is postponed, the ticket is valid for the postponed date, regardless of the reason for the postponement. Returns or exchanges are excluded. The same applies to changes of topic or speakers.

In order to be able to hold our events under optimal conditions, we set a minimum and a maximum number of participants for each event. Places are allocated in the order in which registrations are received (subject to timely payment). If the number of participants is insufficient, the event will generally not take place and the event fee will be waived or refunded.

8. sound and image recordings

Participants are only permitted to make audio and video recordings (in particular photographs, videos, etc.) of the events with the prior written consent of the AAG. They must follow the instructions of the staff.

By placing an order, participants expressly permit the AAG to make sound and image recordings of events, to broadcast them via livestream and also to use and publish them subsequently.

9 Rejection and exclusion of participants

The AAG may check the creditworthiness of participants at any time. In the event of non-payment or doubts about the participant's ability to pay, the AAG may reject participants without itself becoming liable for damages.

The AAG reserves the right to exclude participants from an event. In the event of an exclusion from the event, the event fee will be refunded on a pro rata basis. In the event of particularly serious misconduct on the part of participants (namely felonies and misdemeanours as well as serious breaches of the house rules) and exclusion due to non-payment, the full amount is owed. Further claims for damages by the AAG remain reserved.

10 Liability and insurance

For all events (co-)organised by the AAG, liability for any damage caused (including personal injury) is excluded.

This exclusion of liability also applies to damage caused by auxiliary persons, even if they act with unlawful intent or gross negligence.

Furthermore, any liability for services offered by third parties (e.g. accommodation, catering), which are merely arranged by the AAG, is excluded, even if they act with unlawful intent or gross negligence.

Participants are responsible for ensuring that they have adequate insurance cover. The use of the AAG's facilities, in particular during guided tours and overnight stays, is at the participant's own risk. The AAG cannot be held liable for theft or loss of items.

11 Data protection

By registering, participants agree that the AAG may electronically record their data (personal data, events booked, payment record, behaviour, etc.) and use it for further purposes (advertising, information about new offers, ensuring the smooth running of events, refusal of registrations due to poor payment record, etc.) worldwide.

Order data will be electronically recorded and stored by our ticket service provider pretix.eu and will not be passed on to third parties.

12. assignability of claims

The assignment of claims against the AAG requires the prior written consent of the AAG. It is authorised to assign all claims and obligations vis-à-vis event visitors to third parties at any time.

13. premature termination of contract

If the AAG discontinues the relevant event offers during the term of the contract, the AAG may withdraw from the contract without being liable for damages. Premature termination of the contract does not release participants from payment for events already attended. Clause 6 shall apply to the withdrawal of participants. 14.

14 Severability clause

Should a contractual provision be invalid, unenforceable or incomplete, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The parties shall replace invalid or unenforceable provisions by valid and enforceable provisions which are as close as possible to or equivalent to the original legal and economic purpose of the parties. The same shall apply in the event of a contractual loophole.

15 Amendments and supplements

The AAG reserves the right to make changes and additions to these GTC at any time. They shall be notified to the person attending the event in written or electronic form. In the absence of prior written objection, they shall apply from the date of attendance at the relevant event, but no later than one month after notification. In the event of objection, the previous GTC shall continue to apply.

16 Applicable law, place of jurisdiction

The relationship between the parties shall be governed exclusively by Swiss substantive law.

All disputes between the parties, irrespective of their legal basis, shall be decided exclusively by the ordinary courts in Dornach (SO).

These GTC for organising or attending events come into force on 26 April 2022 and replace all previous versions.
